Planned Giving

Planned Giving is a meaningful way to create a lasting impact on the Hanover Area YMCA. Your gift helps support the physical, mental, and emotional enrichment and development of youth, adults, and families as we respond to the needs and opportunities in our community.

Leave a Legacy by including the Hanover Area YMCA in your estate plans. Legacy Members receive special benefits, including invitations to annual meetings and YMCA events, recognition in our annual report, and monthly newsletters showing how your gift is making an impact. Once you have included the Y in your estate plans, please let us know so we can recognize you as a Legacy Member.

The Hanover Area YMCA accepts planned gifts including outright gifts of cash, stock, or other securities; tribute gifts in honor or memory of a loved one; charitable will bequests; beneficiary designation gifts such as retirement accounts and life insurance; charitable gift annuities; charitable remainder trusts; and charitable lead trusts.

Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program

What if your Pennsylvania tax dollars could support preschool education in your community? Through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, eligible businesses can contribute up to $10,000 to the Hanover Area YMCA-PKSO, our Academy of Early Learning, and receive a 100% Pennsylvania tax credit. It’s a way to support local preschool education while potentially reducing your state tax liability.
